I hold a BA in Philology and an MA in American Studies. In the early stages of my writing, I contributed numerous poems to various collective anthologies (especially in high school). My favourite, or amongst my favourites, is Mary Oliver, who I am particularly fond of as she explores a variety of themes from nature to mortality, but mostly her poems are centered on the interconnectedness of all things alive. Her poems simply serve as a reminder, or perhaps as a nudge to pause and allow oneself to marvel at the circumstances, the most ordinary moments of life that convey, in essence, its meaning.
