J.C. Salis grew up in suburbs of Cleveland, Ohio and feels a strong connection to her Midwestern roots. Her written poetry is inspired by moments of getting curious with chronic pain, complex trauma, and grief. Her first published poem entitled ‘hArbor’ was recently included in the Ohio Bards Poetry Anthology 2025. Much of her writing holds strong themes of embodiment, nonduality, and nature. J.C. hopes her poetry can allow others to feel a little less alone.
