Advice for Other Writers: You don't have to be productive to be a writer. You’re allowed to go silent, to rest, to not explain yourself. The world will try to rush you into clarity or marketable grief—don’t let it. Write when you're ready. Write what obsesses you. And when you feel like giving up, remember that someone out there is waiting to feel less alone because of what only you can say.
